WeedEeater FL1500LE gas blower

The WeedEater FL1500LE gas blower moves leaves with only moderate power, but it is easy to use, partly because of its low weight. In fact, WeedEater markets the FL1500LE as "the world's lightest gas blower."
Powered by a 23 cc, two-cycle engine, the WeedEater FL1500LE -- known as the WeedEater Featherlite -- weighs in at just 7 pounds without any fuel. A variable-speed control adjusts the air velocity, and the reduced-vibration handle helps protect the operator from fatigue while working with this unit.
The WeedEater FL1500LE, with 150 mph air speed and 300 cfm air volume, will move leaves, debris and even pebbles with no problem. The best thing we found about the FL1500LE is the complete portability it offers in such a lightweight gas model. The engine started easily and consistently. The variable-speed control let us adjust air speed for use around different surfaces and plantings, ensuring that we didn't harm plants and flowers or other delicate objects. The lack of a vacuuming and shredding feature means that debris must be disposed of by hand unless you have another unit for the task.
An easy-view fuel tank lets you check fuel level at a glance. The unit seems fairly quiet and is easy to start for a gas engine. It uses a gas/oil mix fuel. Lever style controls are located on the side of the unit. The outer shell of the blower is made of molded nylon.
Because it is so light and maneuverable, the WeedEater FL1500LE is suitable for simple lawn-clearing tasks. If you have a long driveway or large yard, it may be appropriate. But keep in mind that it blows only, with moderate strength, and has no vacuuming or shredding capability.
Pros: Low weight for a gas model, low cost
Cons: Blows only, moderate power
