Troy-Bilt Gas QuickShift Blower/Vac TB310QS
Date Published: 6/2/08
The Troy-Bilt Gas QuickShift Blower/Vac TB310QS lets you switch between blowing and vacuuming modes by simply flipping a switch. It's an ingenious feature, and one that makes the $119 price quite a value, especially if you move between several different tasks in a single backyard cleanup session.
This model is a gas-powered unit. Troy-Bilt also offers a similar, less expensive electric version of this model. The TB310QS is powered by a nicely hefty 31cc engine outfitted with an easy-to-operate starting system. All you do is prime the bulb, flip a switch, then engage the engine with a slow, steady pull.
The maximum airspeed is only 157 miles per hour, which isn't overly impressive, and the three-quarter-bushel, zippered bag could be a whole lot larger. The Troy-Bilt Gas QuickShift Blower/Vac TB310QS delivers plenty of user-friendly features and value for the price, though, and scores a Budget Buy rating.
Pros: Easy switching between modes, price
Cons: Low air speed, small bag
Warranty
2 years, limited
