Matt Crenshaw

Matt Crenshaw is the Vice President of Publishing Operations and Analytics for Discovery Digital Media. His team is responsible for publishing all content, including internally produced material, licensed content and offline partner content, across all of the Discovery Communications digital properties including Discovery.com, TLC.com, AnimalPlanet.com and HowStuffWorks.com.

Matt joined HowStuffWorks.com in 2005 as the Director of Strategy and Research, helping to define best practices for the company’s emerging content platform and growing business opportunities. With the company’s growth and 2007 acquisition by Discovery Communications, Matt now manages the teams responsible for data driven decisions around content selection, organization, and promotion to help drive audience engagement and maximize revenues.

Prior to HowStuffWorks.com, Matt was the Web Managing Editor at the Chicago History Museum where he was responsible for building online exhibits and bringing the museum's collection of more than 20 million artifacts online.

Matt holds a master’s degree from Harvard University in educational technologies and bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia. He is also active in the Web analytics community and serves on the Client Advisory Board for Omniture, the world’s largest Web analytics provider.
